What a glorious May day! We've been waiting for a day like this all spring. I hope you got out to enjoy the sunshine & warm air. I spent several hours working in one of my flower beds. I collected the debris from last year & then worked up the soil. There were a number of dandelions that needed to be removed, too! My back is letting me know that I did a lot more bending than usual.

Did you celebrate National Scrapbooking day on Saturday? It was a great day to get over to Fond Memories & do the Make & Takes.

I found a little time to stamp this afternoon. Here's a Mother's Day card using two of the new clear stamp sets from Paper Inspirations.

I used Spellbinders Nestabilities oval dies to cut the chipboard & mat for "Mom". The chipboard is painted with Tattered Rose Distress Crackle paint. I used the Espresso Paint Dabber to apply paint to the "Mom"stamp from the Mother Collage set. The paint is more opaque than any ink would be especially over the Distress paint.(Tip: Clean the stamp immediately so the paint doesn't dry on it.) The scalloped mat is cut out of copper moire paper & embossed. The lace pattern across the light pink card is stamped with one of the lace designs from Ornamental Borders 2 by Paper Inspirations. I stamped it with Distress Antique Linen ink & embossed it with clear. Then I applied some color to the center of the lace using Cut N Dry Foam to pick up ink from a Distress Tattered Rose pad. I tied sheer copper ribbon around the card & fastened the "Mom" oval with foam tape. Celebrate Mom next Sunday!
